--the 1820 census of Kauai by its ruling chief listed 65 people as Menehune.
11. My name is Phyllis Wheeler. I am an engineer who lives in St. Louis, Missouri, USA, with my husband and four kids.  I am also a veteran homeschooler who writes and sells computer books at www.MotherboardBooks.com .  I enjoy making Web sites about things I love, and this Kauai Web site is a good example of that! I occasionally post on my blog, too.

I took many of the photos on this site, which are copyright of course. The rest are copyrighted by istockphoto.com, except for the tubing one from Kaua'i Backcountry Adventures, used by permission.
